Search Methodology

Needs Assessment and Search Strategy

This is the most critical stage in our search process. Here our Consultant leads a due diligence of needs assessment on the client organization. Our Consultant meets with senior management, departmental heads and other relevant stakeholders to gather information relating to the organization's goals, strategies and culture. This information is then used by the Consultant to create specifications for the position and based on previous experience; finally, a search strategy is set which steers the future course of action for targeting industry segments and specific companies for the purpose of candidate identification.

Candidate Identification

Armed with the search plan, we use non-traditional methods and pool of talented consultants. In addition we will call upon our network to ask for their input on candidate suggestions. To finish this process we may also advertise the position on an appropriate online job board. While this will attract active candidates, it is also important that they be considered alongside the elusive passive candidates.

The Candidate List

Once identification is complete the recruiting and interview phase begins. This part of the process requires patience as many prospective candidates are individually contacted and telephone screened. Those who are short listed meet with a Consultant for an extensive interview where time is invested promoting the opportunity to the candidate and highlighting the benefits of working with the client organization. The candidates are assessed for their technical ability, leadership style and cultural fit. The short listed candidates list is introduced to the client and from that a select group of candidates is invited to meet with the client. A confidential report is prepared for all short listed candidates. This document explains why this person has been deemed a candidate and offers detailed insight into their motivation for considering the opportunity.

Candidate Selection and Presentation of Offer

The Consultant helps the client work through the decision-making process, but the final decision rests with the client. Once the finalist has been selected, we assist the client in formulating an offer, presenting it to the candidate, and negotiating its acceptance. In this phase comprehensive reference checks are performed completing a 360 degree review, including peers, subordinates and superiors.

IMINDSOURCE guarantees that any candidates our clients hire, will not terminate employment voluntarily, but if be discharged due to misconduct or unsatisfactory performance (determined in accordance with reasonable standards), during the course of the 90day guarantee period, a replacement search will take place and IMINDSOURCE will repeat the entire search process with no additional fees incurred by the client.
